Terms and Conditions

By using this site you are acknowledging that you have read and agree with the following terms and conditions.  These terms and conditions may be changed or added to at any time.

 

PRICES

Prices shown on the site are in GBP.  They may be changed at any time without prior notice.

 

ORDERS 

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability of goods ordered.  John Moore reserves the right to refuse any order.

 

BESPOKE COLOURS

If you require an existing design in a bespoke colour, then please contact the studio to discuss the options.  Orders will be considered and discussed on a case by case basis and may be rejected if the requirements cannot be met.  Ordering a bespoke colour will incur an additional charge of £40 and full payment will be taken up front.  Delivery time will be negotiated.  Please note that special orders cannot be cancelled or refunded once payment has been made.

 

COMMISSIONS

If you are interested in commissioning a special piece from John then please get in touch.  The design must be agreed and signed off by the client and a deposit of 50% must be paid before work can commence.  Delivery time and shipping details will be discussed and agreed.


PAYMENT

John Moore accepts online payments with VisaMastercard and American Express.  This includes debit cards that have a Visa or Mastercard logo.  Payments are processed through STRIPE.  If you experience any problems paying online you can contact the studio directly to place your order and payment can be taken over the phone.  +44 (0) 1273 819 199

For commissions we require a 50% deposit as confirmation of your order before production can begin.  At this point you will be committed to purchase.  The remainder will then need to be paid in full before collection or dispatch of the order.  Payment can be made by debit card, credit card or bank transfer.  Goods remain the property of John Moore until paid for in full.


DELIVERY

Items are hand-made to order at the Brighton studio and we will endeavour to deliver as soon as possible or within approximately 3-10 working days within the UK and 5-12 working days to other countries.  Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an email with a tracking number.

If for any reason your order is subject to delay prior to despatch you will be contacted.  

If you require an item urgently for a specific date or event, please contact the studio directly and we will do our best to help.

International orders will be delivered via the International Tracked and Signed service offered by UK Royal Mail.  John Moore cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by the postal service or customs checks.  Any customs charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. 

Any time or date stated for delivery is an estimate only.

Delivery within the UK is free via Royal Mail.

Deliveries outside the UK will be charged at £10.  This is subject to change at any time.
 

PACKAGING

Your jewellery will be packaged safely and securely in a black jewellery box with John Moore stamped on the lid and delivered in an air padded envelope.

 

CANCELLATIONS

Online orders can be cancelled at any time before dispatch but you must inform the studio straight away and preferably by telephone to ensure your order is stopped in time.  Orders cancelled after despatch must be returned to the studio unworn, in perfect condition, and in its original packaging before a refund can be issued - see returns, exchanges & refunds below.  +44 (0) 1273 819 199

Special orders, including bespoke colours cannot be cancelled or refunded once payment has been made.  This is your agreement and commitment to the order.

Commissioned pieces cannot be cancelled or refunded once you have signed off the design, paid a deposit and work has commenced.

 

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS

We hope that you will be delighted with your jewellery but if for any reason you are not happy with your purchase then simply return the goods, unworn, in perfect condition, and in the original packaging.  

All goods must be returned within 14 days of delivery to receive a refund (minus the cost of postage and packaging).  If goods are returned after 14 days and within 30 days of delivery we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note.

You are responsible for arranging and paying for goods to be returned using a delivery service which ensures the item is tracked and insured during transit.

Special orders (bespoke colours) cannot be refunded.  By making payment and committing to an order you are trusting us and our judgement to meet your requirements as best we can and accept that the result may differ slightly from your expectation.  We are confident that you will be delighted with your jewellery but if you feel the colour is far from what was agreed upon then please contact us within 5 days of delivery and we can discuss an exchange.

Commissioned pieces cannot be refunded or exchanged.

 

FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS 

As a perfectionist it is part of John's ethos to make jewellery of the highest quality but in the unlikely event that your jewellery arrives faulty, damaged or it is not what you ordered you must inform the studio via email within 7 days of delivery and we will help to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.  Please take note of the care instructions provided on this site.  

Wilful, malicious damage or negligence will void any rights you have to take advantage of the refund or exchange policies.

Goods which are thought to be faulty after this time will be treated case by case.  Please contact the studio to discuss the problem.
 

REPAIRS

Please refer to the care instructions provided on this site and look after your jewellery as appropriate.  Pieces that have been broken or damaged will be considered case by case and any work to repair or recondition your jewellery may incur a charge.  


DESCRIPTION OF GOODS

Due to the handmade nature of the jewellery and the vagaries of the dyeing process, colours and tones may vary from those pictured on the website.  In addition variations in monitor, browser or software calibrations on your browsing device may cause variations in image and colour of items shown digitally, for which John Moore cannot accept responsibility.  If for any reason you are not happy with your order or you feel it is not in keeping with your request please contact the studio within 30 days of purchase to discuss an exchange.  Please refer to our ‘Exchanges, Returns and Refunds’ policy for purchases exempt of exchange or refund.  Please refer to the individual product dimensions provided for the actual size of each piece.
