This head piece was commissioned by Birmingham based theatre company, The Other Way Works, for their recent production, 'Treasured', in which myself and two other west midlands jewellers were involved. I was at liberty to make whatever I wanted within the practical constraints of the performance which was devised using the jewellery as a stimulus.

A polypropolene base is covered with black fabric encrusted with real beetle wings which I sourced in Thailand, and this was the perfect opportunity to use them. Treasured was described as 'a one to one sensual experience that combines jewellery and performance'.
